Where am I?

On Saturday I visited an island with one of the biggest Gannet populations in the world:
Ganets dive into the sea at up to 60mph to catch fish. To protect them when they hit the water gannets have no nostrils and a sack of liquid in the front of their head which acts a bit like an air bag.
If you can tell me where I was you will get 1 house point and you'll get an extra prise if you're the first to get it right.

Y11 visit the Natural History Museum

Year 11 had a successful visit to the Natural History Museum on Wednesday.

The GCSE Biology visit was timed to fit in with B4, B5 and B6 modules that Y11 are currently studying and will help them prepare for their exam on these modules in January.

Staff and students were extremely pleased with how well the exhibits at the museum fitted their GCSE syllabus and are looking forward to seeing how much impact this will have on their exam results.

The students have asked for the efforts that Miss Joyce, Mrs Macdonald and Miss Chapman put into organising the trip be recognised. They really enjoyed the day as well as finding it very useful.
