Hopenhagen
The Copenhagen climate change summit was opened this morning by the Danish prime minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen saying that "For the next two weeks Copenhagen, will be Hopenhagen. We will try to keep you updated with any news coming from "Hopenhagen" so keep checking www.GillottsScience.com .
why was there so much in the news about the email scandle that was taken when there was no evidence in the email showing that the scientists were creating false information.
Well kieth, its because there was important information on there but maybe all of it wasn't true? We will have to look around and see what things we can pick up to answer it...
So yeah, its probably a starnge fake out or the people stealing the E-mails was true. Oh well
The copenhagen 09 is happening from the 7th to the 18th of december and USA president Obama is coming on the last day were the documents are signed. The email scandle has made some of the scientist look like they might of been cheaating and giving false data.
I think this meeting is good but making everyone very tense because their are emails going out and things saying about scientists falsely accusing that their is no Global warming! x
I think that the email scandal is a bit random and it is bad because we don't know what actually happened because the newspapers make lots of things up.
The information on the E-mails were data that was going to be shared and maybe help us step up. But someone had stolen them and changed it to false data and this affected it all dearly.
Its really important but now the scientist who wrote the data have to be careful were they store it.

some of the world leaders such a obama ar only comingat the last day of the conference but obama was one of the people who said the most about stopping global warming before the conference surley if he wanted change so much he would have have come to the conference in the first eek were he would have more time to perswade the other leaders to agree on a change to reduce global warming.
Well if you think about it logicly then all we are doing right now is useing so muich electricity out together as a calss. The lights above us so we can see the key baords, and aslo the power for the computers!
If we want to save the world is really what we should be doing? Typeing up comments to talk to each other weh nwe could be all talking?

The copenhagen meeting is a good idea because all nations can come together to understand what there nations can do to tackle climate change.
such as saudi arabia can rse the price in oil so it will be used less but then saudi arabi will not have enough money because no one is buying there oil. :]

I think each household should have a set amount of electricity per week and if they run out they have no electricity for the rest of the week and have to spend more money going out to do everything

i agree with a proper wierdo because all the things going around about how we waste energy and all that. I know its fun and all that but if we are going to try our best to help copenhagen save the world we shouldn't be doing this! we should just save energy and sit together as a class and talk! what does everyone else think?
i think it is good because it will help the enviroment if we put tax on planes because less people will fly which means less carbon will be released into the air
copenhagen could be a coplete failure if no oe can work together, example: if they did not work together one nation can change but if the other nations do not change with it that one nation can lose all its money and cause an ecoomical effect. @0-0@

Climate change may not end the world but I t might end our humanity in our planet to work as one toegther and fight against it... It probably will tear us apart, but been torn apart by us. Dose that answer your question?
I think that as a school we use lots of electricity learning about global warming, climate change and whatever. But when we are adults then the decisions are gonna lie with us so we need to know what to do. Do you think that we should waste electricity now and not know what to do or shall we save it now and be clueless??????????
i think there are many solutions to slowing down global warming but i also think that the goverment should be spending more money on investing in things like this a electric car has been created that runs for 8 hours and he has also made a machine that can be put into petrol stations that can change the batterie this is not only cheaper but better for the enviroment

I think that the email scandel is bad because it makes important people like scientists who are working hard to try and reduce global warming look bad in the press when they are only trying to help everyone else live.
I think that pictures showing what effects global warming is having on the earth is very good. It shows that some people are doing things to try and help against global warming but others are oblivious to what is happening. I think it is very clear about what is happening and what people are desparately trying to do to prevent it.
I don't think it is right that we are forcing citizens of this country to pay tax to help meet carbon targets when there is no conclusive evidence that we cause climate change. I think it is unfair to waste tax payers money on a problem only 18% of people think exists (http://www.nature.org/initiatives/climatechange/features/art26253.html). We should be dealing with bigger problems such as developing new fuels to replace fossil fuels when we run out and then, if global warming is caused by humans, we may even solve global warming in the process.
Scientists have spent hours of time researching and looking at the weather and they have years of experience looking at the climate change so even though the public don't think climate change is happening scientists are more likely to be right.
I think that people are just saying that climate change isn't happening because they do not want their taxes to be raised.
I think that it is important that we listen to the 82% of people that don't believe in global warming because they don't believe it and if it is happening then they are not going to do anything because they think it isn't true.
I think that it is important that the public do know that global warming is happening because they are going to be the ones that need to make the change.
People are just saying that global warming is not happening because if it is happenning then it will effect business.
Also if they think that global warming is not happening then they can gain a lot of money from oil and coal so I think that it is biast.
Some people might also deny global warming for more publicity.
I think that lotsss of people don't want to admit that global warming is happening because it could affect their business. They prefer to deny that its happening so they can continue earning money. Everyone needs to know about global warming to stop it!!!!!
I think the public needs to know about global warming because it could get quite serious. I agree with Lauren about some people trying really hard to stop global warming while others are doing absolutley nothing. Everyone needs to put the effort in.
If we are to stop Global warming I think that all of the countries taking part in Copenhagen will have to work together to work out a deal that will reduce carbon emissions.
I agree that 82% of people believe that global warming is not happening we should respect there beleifs and thoughts even if you dont agree!!!
Not all people that think global warming is not occurng are after money and publicity some people think it because of the fact some scientists think that our planet is not warming it is cooling ?....
harry is right it is not just one countrys job to stop global warming it is the whole worlds !!! not just world leaders it anyones jobs little act like making sure you turn all the lights off if you are going out ect every day will help to save our planet !!!
I think that if we cant decide what is coursing global warming then we should test it and see what happens. For exsample, if EVERY-ONE stops using cars and plains and all the things that use up a lot of petrol of gas and see if global warming stops but if it doesnt then we will now that it is not us coursing it, but on the other hand if it does stop then we will have to find a way of stopping it and do it fast!!!!!!xxx
I think that if global warming is happening that everyone should know and might do something to help it from getting worse but if it isn't happening then what is all the fuss about.
